William and Isaac Funnies

July 12, 2012
Mom: Isaac, you just seem like such a sturdy, solid little boy.
Isaac (indignantly): I'm not a dirty salad!

July 29, 2011
William: "Tim, when you get married to a girl, you won't need your guitar anymore."
Tim: "Why do you say that?
William: "Well, my Dad got married and he doesn't need his guitar anymore."

July 24, 2011
(singing) "Here comes the oxcart oh so slow...(speaking) Tim, EVERY kid wants to be an ox!"

May 4, 2011
We were sitting at the table eating lunch, and I was lost in thought about something and probably had a "zoning" look on my face. William suddenly started laughing and said, "Mom, your face looks funny! It looks like there is a dream in your eye!!"

May 4, 2011
William found Chris's stud finder, and he kept putting it on the walls and hitting the button and saying he was "looking for studmeisters". My favorite was when he put it on Isaac's head and said, "I'm looking for a studmeister in Isaac's head!!"

April 7, 2011
William let out a toot as we were standing at the counter working on something. I said "excuse you" and he said "excuse me", and then said, "It's okay mom. It just means I'm out of gas."

February 2011
(To Chris) "Dad, Mom is nicer than you. She fixes my truck."

January 2011
Grandma Hall and William were playing with some blocks that Chris made a couple of years ago, and Grandma asked him, "William, do you know who made these blocks?" William promptly replied, "Jesus!" She then explained that Jesus had made the trees that the wood came from, but Daddy had built the blocks.

Later when Chris came home the first thing Will said was, "Jesus made the wood, but you made the blocks!!!"

January 2011
William, holding a piece of paper from a note pad in his hand said to Chris "Do you want to know what my computer says? It says: Dear Dad, please do not be afraid of the lion."

6-24-10
I made William a sandwich for lunch, and he was eating it while I made myself one. When I sat down I bowed my head and said a little silent prayer. While doing so, William kept asking me what I was doing. When I finished I told him that I was saying a little prayer to thank Heavenly Father for the food. There was a little bit of a pause, and then William said, "AMEN Brother!".

6-6-10
We were in the middle of Fast and Testimony meeting and Isaac was sitting on my lap with William kneeling backward on the bench next to us. William leaned his head forward and Isaac reached over and grabbed a chunk of hair right at the back of William's head and yanked upward. We tried to get it away from him quickly, but it still hurt a lot and William was furious. He yelled, then slid to the ground, looked at Isaac and said "ISAAC!! DON'T DO THAT EVER EVER EVER!!!!"

After a slight pause, William raised his fist (he was holding a toy car) and brought it down really hard into my knee. I tried not to yell out in pain, and Chris grabbed William and said, "You just hit Mom! Why would you do that?"

William's reply at the top of his lungs was, "THAT WAS FOR ISAAC!!!"

I'll have to admit, that although it had hurt really bad, the tears running down my face were not from crying. I was laughing so hard that I had to stuff my face into Isaac to try not to disrupt the meeting. And every time I thought I had gotten myself under control, the memory of it would come back and I would start laughing again.

I guess it's a good thing that he knows it's not okay to hit Isaac even if he's really mad. Now we need to work on him not hitting anybody.

5-1-10
William: Sometimes my pants get wet.
Grandma: Why do your pants get wet?
William: Because they are bad pants

4-27-10
Mom: How's your sandwich William?
William: It's doing just fine.

4-22-10
"The thunder comes down and BUMPS us!"

3-27-10
"Oh....That has too much sugar on it. I better lick it off."

3-5-10
"It's not cold. It's FREEZING!!"

3-4-10
"Ondie don conk shonks!"

3-4-10
William has some pj pants that have pretty tight elastic around the bottoms, and that often end up around his thighs, leaving pretty good marks. This morning he was sitting on the toilet after waking up when Chris heard William yelling. He went in to see what was wrong and William was pointing at his legs saying, "AHHHHHHH. I have TRAIN TRACKS!!"

3-1-10
William (holding a recipe card): "This is my list"
Mom: "Oh really? What does your list say?"
William: "My list says:
go to the library
see the fishies."

2-20-10
"I need a corn dog. Corn dogs are fun!!!"

Dec. 2009
"I want a drink of water!! I want a drink of water!! (pause) I want a drink of milk actually. "

1-19-10
I love it when William is playing and I hear him singing songs to himself, or talking. Today, he was playing and I heard him saying "Time Out. After a nice bath and a nice dinner it's time for bed Olivia!" (Quoting from the book Olivia). It made me smile :)

1-7-10
Chris had a long work week, and didn't see William at all between Sunday and Wednesday night. On Thursday morning I had been up earlier than either of them, but before Chris was up I heard William talking to himself in his room. I thought I would let Chris sleep a little longer, but William immediately checked to see if Daddy was home and wanted to "give him a kiss." As soon as he got on the bed, William snuggled up to Chris saying "I love you Daddy! I love you Daddy!"
He then turned to me and said "Go Away Mommy." So I went, but turned back at the door to say something to Chris. William then said, "Go Away FASTER Mommy!." I guess he was REALLY sick of all the Mommy time. :)

1-5-10
"I'm eating graham crackers. It's not my fault!"

12-31-09
William had been going to the bathroom and came running into the kitchen saying he was all done. I asked him if he had flushed the toilet and put his underwear back on and he ran back into the bathroom to do those things. After flushing he ran back into the kitchen exclaiming "My pee fell down the hole!!"

12-30-09
I was putting William to bed and Isaac was upstairs with my mom. William heard Isaac crying a little and he said
"Oh Mom, Isaac needs us!!"

12-29-09
William: "Is Daddy in town?"
Mom: *laughing* "What?"
William: "Is Daddy in Jackson?"
