My Working Men

These guys have been doing a ton of work to get the garden ready this last week or so. They have been building planters, mucking out the chicken coop, moving carpet and tires and plotting out the garden rows and paths. There is absolutely nothing William likes better than working alongside his dad, and of course Isaac doesn't want to be left out of anything.  They make me smile.

These rubber boots are the best things ever, definitely a wardrobe staple around here.  They wear them constantly and Isaac's are always backward :).

Yesterday William assured me that he "could work all day and all night and all day and all night." He then started trying to figure out ways that he could continue working outside during the night.  He finally concluded that the best way would just be to pray and ask Heavenly Father to make it light outside at night.  He then gave me a sample prayer that went like this:

"Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for blessing that it could be light outside at night so I can work.  In the name of Jesus Christ amen."

The funny kid always thanks Heavenly Father for blessings as if they had already happened instead of asking for them.  Oh to have the faith of a child...

Ride 'em cowboy!

Isaac just taking his baby for a ride.  I love those legs!

Taking the Plunge

It's true...I am now a mini-van mom. I knew this day would have to come at some point, but for some reason it seems like it's gotten here much quicker than expected.  It's crazy to think that in just a few months we will have 3 kids.  Where does the time go??

Anyway, here it is:

It's a 2008 Honda Odyssey, and actually I really like it.  There's a little part of me that misses driving a little car, but this car is quite fun and easy to drive, is super comfy and it's amazing to have so much space.  Funny enough, Chris has wanted us to get a van forever (he always wanted more room, and since it's not practical for us to get a truck right now he figures this is the closest family friendly thing he'll get) so he is loving it as well.  Chris and I got to take a little vacation this last weekend (which was wonderful!) and it was so comfortable and nice to drive.  Our kids are loving it as well, although it drives me a little crazy that that they want to push every button and open and close the doors a million times.  Hopefully the novelty will wear off soon!
